We are currently accepting new students. If you are already admitted to a Harvard or MIT Ph.D. program and have an interest in artificial intelligence for medical image analysis, and applying machine learning to address challenges in pathology please email Dr. Mahmood and include your CV and potential rotation schedule.

We are recruiting Ph.D. students from a number of graduate programs, including Bioinformatics and Integrative GenomicsSystems BiologyBiological and Biomedical SciencesHarvard Integrated Life Sciences, and other programs at Harvard. We also recruit graduate students from the Harvard-MIT Health Sciences & Technology program and other programs at MIT.

Update: We are overwhelmed with rotation requests, if you are interested in rotating in the lab please send us a proposed rotation schedule. Given our bandwidth, we can only take 2-3 rotation students each term, so a rotation may not be available at a time of your choice.

Postdoctoral Fellows – Generic Applications

We are always looking for talented postdocs with a background in computer science, statistics, bioinformatics, computer vision, and machine learning. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in spatial transcriptomics, pathology image analysis, analysis of 3D images, computational optics, and multimodal data integration. These positions are funded by an NIGMS R35 outstanding investigator award, BWH president’s funds, the Fredrick National Lab, and internal funds from BWH and MGH pathology. To apply please submit:

Postdoctoral Fellows – Harvard Data Science Initiative 

Our lab is affiliated with the Harvard data science initiative. HSDI has a competitive process of recruiting several fellows each year. HDSI fellows work independently over a two to three-year fellowship with the guidance and partnership of Harvard University faculty. Applications open every year in the fall.
